Why Inspection First

Don't Guess. Know.

A leaking roof, granules in your gutters, a dark spot on your ceiling — these are signs something's happening up there. But they don't tell you how serious it is, how widespread it is, or what it's going to cost to fix. That's what a proper inspection tells you. And an inspection from True South won't cost you anything.

The Inspection

What We Actually Look At

A True South inspection isn't a five-minute glance from the driveway. We get on the roof, into the attic where accessible, and document everything we see.

Shingle condition — granule loss, cracking, curling, blistering
Hail and wind damage patterns — size, density, and distribution
Flashings at chimneys, skylights, pipes, and walls
Ridge caps, hip shingles, and starter courses
Gutters — damage, granule accumulation, attachment points
Soffit and fascia condition
Decking integrity (where visible from below or via probe)
Ventilation — ridge vents, soffit vents, attic airflow
Signs of interior moisture intrusion
Evidence of prior repairs or patch work

What You Walk Away With

A real assessment, real documentation, and a clear next step. No mystery, no pressure.

Photo Documentation

We photograph every area of concern. You'll have a clear record of your roof's current condition — useful whether you're filing a claim, planning a sale, or just keeping records.

Honest Assessment

We tell you what we see: minor wear, storm damage, structural concerns, or a roof that has years left in it. We're not going to manufacture urgency to sell you a job.

Clear Recommendation

Repair, replacement, or monitor — we give you a clear recommendation with the reasoning behind it. If it's a close call, we say so.

Insurance Guidance

If storm damage is present, we tell you what we documented, what we think is claimable, and what the process looks like if you decide to file.

When to Call

Not Sure if It's Time? These Are All Good Reasons to Get Inspected.

After any hail or high-wind event — even if you don't see obvious damage
When you notice granules in your gutters or downspouts
If you see a dark spot on your ceiling, or smell moisture in your attic
Before listing your home for sale
If your roof is 15+ years old and has never been professionally inspected
After buying a home — especially if the seller's disclosure was vague
When a neighbor on the same street just had storm damage assessed
